Analytical Chemistry Field Service Engineers

We work with most of the top manufacturers of analytical chemistry instruments (HPLC, LC/MS, SPE, IEX, Lab Robotics, Spectroscopy) and we are regularly being asked to recruit Field Service Engineers who have experience on these instruments. If you have at least 3 years in a position where you are responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of this class of equipment, whether you are the in-house "Mr. or Ms. Fixit" or hold the formal title of service or repair technician, and you are interested in exploring what the next step in your career could be, we would like to talk to you.

Bay Area Based Field Applications Scientist for Clinical Mass Spec

We are looking for a scientist who has a good depth of hands-on mass spec experience, and who has been responsible for the care, feeding, troubleshooting, perhaps some assay development work and maybe even a bit or repair on some LC/MS instruments, and who wants to stay in a very technical job, but in a job that provides the opportunity to travel and has more variety than a typical commercial bench scientist job.

The technical focus is the clinical research and clinical/IVD lab, so at least some experience in clinical research, hospital lab or even in a clinical reference lab is really preferred. This person will work in the field supporting the LC/MS sales team, doing pre and post sales support, customer training, some field based assay development work and general instrument and assay troubleshooting, working with select customers from San Diego to Seattle.

  • An advanced degree is preferred.
  • The ability to travel overnight on company business, several nights each week is required.

    Senior Director of Business Development, custom manufacturing, Bay Area

    We are currently working with a young, very successful Bay Area engineering company that specializes in outsourced design and custom manufacturing support, to help them identify and hire a Senior Director of Business Development for their Med Device and Biotechnology practice. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in manufacturing based business development in med device and /or biotech manufacturing. An engineering or manufacturing background would certainly be a plus.

    2 Field Applications Support positions - Kansas and Texas (Houston or DFW)

    Our client is expanding and adding 2 Field based Applications Support positions, one based in Kansas (Kansas City area preferred) and one based in either Houston or DFW. We are seeking energetic and articulate LC/MS scientists who are looking for a step off the bench and into the commercial side of the industry. This position will assist on pre-sale and post-sale support of the Mass Spec products, including demonstration, sample analysis, seminars, installations, training customers and regional personnel and assisting customers with adapting methodology for our instruments. This is a field based position providing pre and post sales support to the field sales team and can have up to 50% regional overnight travel.

    Position requires:

  • Minimum 3 (for a Ph.D.) to 5 (for a masters degree) years of direct hands-on experience running and troubleshooting HPLC mass spec instruments.
  • Must be capable of independent preparation of samples, sample analysis and interpretation of results, and report generation.
  • Candidates MUST be U.S. citizens or hold perm resident/green card status.
  • Overnight travel for either territory is estimated at 50% on average.
